Compassionate Therapy for Trauma and OCD
in Nevada

For adults navigating complex trauma, relational issues, and unwanted intrusive thoughts.

Are you wondering if things will ever get easier?

Stop just surviving the day. Start reclaiming your light.

Intrusive Flashbacks & Nightmares

You’re exhausted- you are constantly being reminded of the traumatic event, either in the form of flashbacks or nightmares. You’re exhausted- you are constantly being reminded of the traumatic event, either in the form of flashbacks or nightmares.

The Exhausting Mask of "I'm OK"

On the outside, you might seem to have everything under control, but on the inside, you just want to run away from everything.

The Check-and-Recheck Loop

You are getting stuck with the same intrusive thought about something bad happening, so you check and recheck to make sure. This leads to not only interruptions to your day, but to your life.

Chased by Your Own Mind

You might have tried to “think” your way out of these behaviors, might have tried to ignore them, but they keep chasing you everywhere you go.

The Restless 2:00 AM Wake-Up Call

These thoughts keep you awake at night, and if you happen to fall asleep, they wake you at 2 am to remind you that something needs to be done right now.

Ready to break the cycle

You’re ready to move forward, not to just survive another day.

Hi, I am Avneet.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Las Vegas, NV. I specialize in helping individuals experiencing complex trauma and OCD break their negative thought cycle and find their light within. I also help couples communicate with each other in a more respectful, kinder, and meaningful way.

I integrate body/mind modalities, such as Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) that gets to the root of the issue. I will help you reconnect with yourself, get out of survival mode, and live your life with more ease.

I also utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy to challenge the OCD thoughts that keep individuals stuck in a vicious cycle of the “what if”.

I apply the Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques to help couples create a deeper connection with one another.

FAQ SECTION

Therapy at Light Your Path Therapy can benefit anyone who is struggling with a mental health challenge or looking to improve their overall emotional well-being. We work with clients of all backgrounds.

In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.

The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Many clients attend therapy once a week, while others may attend less frequently. We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.

A therapy intensive is a focused, in-depth session or series of sessions designed to address specific emotional or mental health needs. It allows for concentrated work in a shorter amount of time compared to regular therapy.

  • 90-minute intensive: A single, extended session to dive deeper into a particular issue or challenge.
  • 3-hour intensive: A longer session for more comprehensive exploration and healing.
  • 3-day intensive: A multi-day experience for intensive therapy work, offering significant progress and transformation in a short period.

I work well with a client that has experienced trauma, is suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, poor boundaries, or someone who wants to learn more about themselves. I work well with someone who is motivated to change their current circumstance by taking part in their healing.
